Companion Arts is a 501(c)3 organization which develops and delivers inspiring educational programs and resources. We serve people facing major life transitions and those who care for them, supporting emotional connection by integrating music, the creative arts, and a multi-faith spirituality.
Founded in 2002 by Michael Stillwater and Gary Malkin,
creators of the acclaimed palliative care audio resource,
Graceful Passages: A Companion for Living and Dying,
Companion Arts now offers Care for the Journey, providing
support and renewal for people in the helping professions.

After thirty years of music ministry and twelve years in hospice and healthcare, he is Executive Director of Companion Arts and consultant for healthcare practitioners, educators and managers.
